Happy Birthday Peace Corps!

Fifty years ago today, the U.S. Congress approved legislation for the Peace Corps (September 22, 1961). Congress gave them the mandate to promote world peace and friendship.

With this in mind, we reflect on one of our favorite projects. In 2008, Orange Element had the privilege of working with the Peace Corp on redesigning their recruitment catalog, along with developing their first family & friends resource guide and various other materials for their Life is Calling. How Far Will You Go? brand platform. Our process included full brand integrationfrom typography, color palette and styleguide recommendations to icon, development and custom illustration. The work was awarded a Silver Addy in 2009.
