What is a good brand of health conscious cookware?

I prefer a non metal surface, and I need something that is free from Teflon, aluminum, and other toxins.

non metal surface?? Anyway, I prefer cast iron. Well seasoned, it behaves like teflon but it leaches iron into the food ands it happens to be the exact type of iron our body can use. the only non metal cookwear I ever saw was those awful glass corningware kettles that EVERYTHING stuck to so badly. I don't thing silicone comes in kettles to cook on the stove top with and I have my own opinions about the safety of silicone.

try cooking on a rock. wtf? non toxic surface. youll get more toxins driving around trying to find something that dont even exsist. lame.

Non metal surface? You're dreaming. ALL cookware is made of metal, even cast iron. Your best option for what you're looking for would be Gordon Ramsay's cookware line. QVC carries it, reasonably priced too.

Cast iron, properly seasoned is always a good choice. In all seriousness, it will add more iron to your diet and is easy to cook in and non-stick. As far as health consciousness, I've always thought that it's more important what you put _in_ the cookware, as opposed to what the cookware is made of :)

Cast Iron, but don't believe what every company says. It might be mixed metals.
