On website there is now a store. You have to pay for certain items, but some items are free. Also, when you register your game (super easy just type in the serial number) you get free points so you can download stuff that isn't free. There is also an "exchange" section where people upload things that they have created and thats all free, houses, sims, clothes etc.

All the answers like modthesims3.com and peggyzone.com are good but i like this one. First you go to google and type in TSR and press. Then press the first link that comes up. Sign up and log in. there are awsome hair and HEAPS of clothes. And if you subscribe(pay) you get MUCH better items than you get when for free. Good Luck!! xx

Firstly, don't pay for custom content. It's wrong and possibly illegal for them to charge for it. If there is paysite content you want, check the forums at "Paysites Must Be Destroyed". Secondly, there is a lot of good non-pay stuff at Garden of Shadows. I'll post another link or two in the sources.
