NYC Shopping Guide (PLEASE READ DETAILS)?
My mother and I are visiting NYC. If you have been there or live there please help me. I need to know where safe hotels are in the city. I want a hotel in safer parts of town. Also, where are good theaters for watching shows and do they charge? I'm assuming they do charge. Taxis? Are the taxis there safe? Other information on the taxis would be great, too. Umm. Any restaurant suggestions? We don't want to go on the outskirts of Manhattan. In the middle of the city is great. I don't really know of any monuments to see except Time's Square, Central Park, and Wall Street. If there is anything else that would be nice to see that would be great. Grand Central Station and Broadway...have to see that. Also, do you suggest walking instead of riding in a taxi? I don't know much about NYC at all. So, I don't know where clothes stores are and if they are all right next to each other. Any other information about NYC that I should know before I go would be good to know. Thank you very much to taking the time to read this. Hopefully someone can take this seriously and give me answers. Thank you again. :D -Cassandra
I wouldn't worry about crime. Now that the police in New York have a 'zero tolerance' policy crime is relatively low. I went to New York recently and I felt really safe walking around. Manhattan is very easy to walk around but there are long distances. Taxi's are dirty. When I went there I didn't stay in a hotel in Manhattan. Instead I stayed in a hotel at Newark airport and you can easily get a train to Penn Station, so that is a thing to consider. Restaurants, there are plenty. You have Mickey Mantle's, Hard Rock Café, Alamo and so many more it is impossible to name them all. The Hard Rock Café is in Times Square. Clothes stores, fifth avenue is the place for any shopping. For things to do, I suggest picking up a brochure or a travel guide to the city and you can see what interests you. As for the theatres, well, surely you must have heard of Broadway - that's the place for theatres.
Here's a good place to get started... luck!
| Clothes - reflexion of a way of life and requirements of the people representing various cultures and beliefs. Conformity of clothes of certain estate, a social class or a caste to material possibilities, and also the primary goals which societies were assigned to this layer, was obligatory at all times. To dare to wear magnificent dresses with вшитыми the rigid clamps expanding a skirt till three-metre diameter, the simple peasants who were engaged in cattle and a kitchen garden hardly could. |
